You win some, you lose some!

On August 4th, I had the opportunity to fulfill a childhood dream. I got to skate with Daewon Song and some of the Adidas Skateboarding team. I also brought my camera out in an effort to make a video for the website.

Unfortunately, one of the miniDV tapes wasn’t as excited to see Daewon and the Adidas team as I was. The first tape I used glitched out, causing over 2/3s of the demo to not be captured by me. Most of the footage I was able to get was from Jahn Perez and Felipe Gustavo, who both ripped the entire demo. Jenn Soto, Carlisle Aikens, Joey O’Brien, Alec Majerus, & Diego Najara were all the other skaters featured in this tape.

It’s a bummer I drove seven hours with the excitement of having footage to go home and edit, however getting to check out Kinetic, Delaware, & FDR was worth the trip. I also was able to get my favorite Transworld Cover of all time signed by Daewon Song. Next time before a demo or contest, I’ll be sure to check out the tape beforehand to avoid another tragedy.
