Skatepark of Tampa confirms via Instagram Story that the Tampa Pro and Tampa Am contests are back in 2021 for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Sponsored by NHS Brands & Ramp Armor, Tampa Pro 2021, which is usually held in late February or early March, will be held in October for the first time in the contest’s history and will be the first Tampa Pro since March of 2020, with the contest ending days before the United States’ COVID-19 Lockdown began. Tampa Am will be held a month later in November like usual, however it will be the first in person Tampa Am since November of 2019. Skatepark of Tampa cancelled 2020’s in person Tampa Am due to COVID-19 restrictions, however an online Instagram submission based Tampa Am was adapted to continue the tradition of the contest to the best of their ability. I plan at attending both of them, and I’m stoked Skatepark of Tampa is keeping the tradition rolling.
