The ‘Florida Amateur Skateboard League’ kicks off next weekend with their first official contest. Announced via Instagram, the FASL contest will be held at Ramp 48 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 and will feature both Bowl and Street contests for both girls and boys of all ages and skill sets. With COVID-19 restrictions lessoning throughout Florida and the rest of the United States, contests have been being announced left & right and it’s nice to see after such a drought. From the looks of their Instagram, it seems like the FASL was a series created prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, and due to local regulations involving large gatherings, was forced to cease operations. Linked in the source is FASL’s instagram profile. Check them out if you’re interested!
